Education and Training
  • We provide education and training on human rights, race equality, equality promotion,  community cohesion and conflict resolution.
  • We offer an intensive induction programme on local race and other equality promotion for practioners.  The course is based on our book: Race Equality in Local Communities, A Guide to its Promotion (see our publications).

  • We run a two-day intensive course on urban ethnic group conflict analysis and resolution.

  • Together with the Centre for the Study of Ethnicity and Culture at  Birmingham University, we organise a seminar series on the theory and practice of race relations (see our news and events).

  • We work in [partnership with other equality and diversity trainers.

  • We offer customised equality and diversity training within the framework of our training policy which assumes prior training needs analysis and a total systems approach (see training policy).

  • We identified early on with the help of a training audit, the need for rights and equality officers to undertake management training and set up a scheme in partnership with the Birmingham City University.  Unfortunately in recent years, we have been unable to continue subsidising course fees and the scheme has had less take up.

Please contact Freda Edwards, Administration and Events, if you feel REWM can help you with training.
