Mohammed
Tufail
Mohammed
Tufail OBE is honorary treasurer of Rights and
Equality West Midlands. He has served as director
of Oldham Racial Equality Council and Chief
Executive of North Staffordshire Racial Equality
Council from 1997 to 2006. Prior to that he worked
as Principal Ethnic Minority Policy Officer for
Burnley Borough Council and Manager of Nottingham
and District Citizens Advice Bureau. In a voluntary
capacity he has served on the executive of the
British Federation of Race Equality Council.

Mohammed
has experience of securing SRB4, SRB5, SRB6 and NRF funding,
has worked with the Home Office on rebuilding relations
between the Government and Muslims in the context of recent
tensions, and worked with Stoke city and Portvale Football
Clubs on the Kick Racism out of Football Campaign. He has
played a prominent role in working to marginalise far-right
racist extremism.
