Service Improvement
  • We helped public authorities in improving their services to minority ethnic communities by providing strategic advice, investigatory services, research, training consultation and report-writing facilities.  We helped set up the West Midlands Local Authority Equality Network and are also in close contact with Local Strategic Partnerships.
  • With GOWM and the CRE, we have researched the contribution of Local Area Agreements to the promotion of race equality and community cohesion.

  • We can supply policies, procedures and other documents to assist new racial equality organisations in meeting legal obligations and quality standards (based on PQASSO).

  • We disseminate information on new and innovative projects to encourage good practice and to stimulate socially-responsive project development.

  • We produce leaflets to explain and advertise the services that REWM, WMDAS, and other race equality organisations provide.

  • Service improvement opportunities are linked to effective strategic development and resource acquisition, for which Rights and Equality West Midlands provides assistance.

  • In developing policies and procedures, we always focus on the needs of service users.

  • See also our training, which is intended to contribute to service improvement.
