West Midlands Discrimination Advisory Service

The West Midlands Discrimination Advisory Service takes referrals from local community-based agencies which have suffered racial discrimination in the work place or elsewhere.

Normally, designated local agencies will provide information, advice and guidance to persons complaining of discrimination. In most instances, local agencies will take down brief details of an incident of discrimination, but where they do not have the facilities to do so, WMDAS may undertake preliminary casework.

WMDAS’s aim is to complement the work of existing legal advisory services across the West Midlands and to plug any gaps in the network which disadvantage individuals who just happen to live in areas without a discrimination advisory service. It wishes to foster accessible local services and does not seek to replace or compete with them.
