Area Agreement/Local Strategic Partnership Race Equality
Promotion Group
This
partnership was originally conceived as a standing committee
to assist Government Office, Regional Assembly, Local
Government Association, the Commission for Race Equality,
and Rights and Equality West Midlands help Local Startegic
Partnerships across the region (especially in NRF areas) to
promote race equality and community cohesion. This group now
convenes to disseminate information and guidance on new
initiatives to promote equalities and cohesion through Local
Area Agreements. It is in the process of producing a
toolkit to assist LSPs and others at local level to improve
the impact on equality promotion of LAA arrangements.
