Yvonne
Parker
Yvonne Parker has been Finance Officer to Rights and
Equality West Midlands since its inception in 1999,
steering the organisation through lean and fat years
alike, with her highly developed accounting and pay
roll skills. For most of our time as an independent
organisation, she has negotiated the auditing
process with our external auditor, Anthony Slann FCA. |
Yvonne is
far more than a Finance Officer. Passionately committed to
race equality herself, she has over the life of the
organisation provided strategic advice and direction to
Rights and Equality West Midlands and its chief executive,
and has been responsible more than anyone else for the
organisation’s solvency, long-term survival, and reputation
for sound financial management.
Her interest in and commitment to ethnic
relations is illustrated by her unstinting work for the
Jalalabad Association, a small community group, the
Worcestershire Ethnic Access interpreting service, and the
Worcestershire Racial Equality Council (1998-2003).
